The next morning Kouyou woke up to the sound of birds chirping.  He stretched and paused when he heard the cheeping little chicks. "Fucking Birds." He was as grumpy as always. After he had showered and woken up, he had thought about what had happened the previous night. He sighed contently with his cheeks a slight pink shade. "Oh, Aki~"

His father had walked past his open door when that was said. The middle-aged man looked puzzled. He took a seat down at the kitchen table after he had grabbed some breakfast. "It can't be…" he took a bite then picked up his newspaper….

Kouyou ran down the stairs, skipping breakfast entirely. He hurriedly tied his shoes and ran out the door, excited to see his new boyfriend. "It feels so weird to call him a boyfriend…" Kouyou giggled cutely as he thought aloud. "I wonder if he'll kiss me at school though… I mean it's not safe at school, but certainly not at home either…" he pondered. "I know! We can go over by that lone cherry blossom tree when we want to get… well… personal…" he blushed bright red at the thought. He soon reached the Suzuki's driveway. He knocked on the door and waited patiently. Akira opened the door and smiled at him. "Hey~" Kouyou blushed. "Hi, Aki." Akira finished putting his shoes on and grabbing his things, and then walked out the door with Kouyou. They both stayed silent, not really knowing what to say. "Well, good morning." Akira smiled and kissed Kouyou's cheek. "Morning~" his cheeks resembled the shade of cotton candy.

Akira had nothing bad to talk about today. In fact, he was kinda high on life. When he and Kouyou stopped at the school gate to part ways, Akira let go of his new love's hand hesitantly. "I'll see you at lunchtime, ok?" "Yup." He smiled.

It was lunchtime finally. Kouyou and Akira walked to their usual table. "What's up, guys?" Akira stood at the head of the table with Kouyou's hand in his. "Nothin much." Yuu looked at them funny. "Okay… what's with the hand holding?" The honey blonde looked down slightly and gulped. Aki squeezed his hand and gave a reassuring smile to him. "You guys know that we don't keep secrets from each other, so Kou and I have something to tell you all." Akira managed to speak out. Yuu and Yutaka nodded while Takanori sat looking down at his drink and circling his fingertip around the rim of his cup. "W-we are going out now... as a couple." Akira looked down, dreading the worst reactions for their childhood friends. Yutaka giggled, his dimples prominent on his baby face. "Well finally you two have noticed your undying love for each other! We thought we would have to help you out!" his giggles now turned to laughter. Yuu laughed along too while Takanori sat there looking unimpressed. "You all knew?!" Akira lightly bonked Yuu and Yutaka's heads. Kouyou laughed lightly in relief but then turned his gaze to the short blond teen. "what's up with Taka?" he thought.

Kouyou sat in his desk staring blankly at the movie on the projector board. The title was "Osmosis Jones". Learning about cells wasn't exactly his cup of sake. Halfway through, his pocket vibrated. "Aki miss me already?" he thought and kinda blushed. He slyly took it out. It read 1 message from Takanori.

"Hey."  Was all it said. Kouyou stared at his phone puzzled. Takanori was known to avoid texting in class as much as possible. He felt that kind of thing was only necessary in emergency cases.

"Hey. Everything ok, Taka?"

A fast reply. "Yeah I just wanted to talk ^^"

More stareing. "Oh ok. what's on your mind?"

"Wanna come over tonight? Mom misses you lol nah but srysly I got a new game and it's a 2p and It's been a while since we both just hung out…"  

Kouyou thought. He hadn't made any other plans, yet he knew his mother would forbid a sleepover on a school night. "idk if my mom will let me dude… but I agree, it's been a while. "

"What about like the old days? Lol" Not a bad idea… Kouyou used to sneak out of his house and into Takanori's late at night, after his mom was asleep. Takanori's mom didn't give a fuck, so she wouldn't freak out if Kouyou was suddenly at the breakfast table the next morning. If any feeling at all surfaced, it would be annoyance for having to serve another portion. Kouyou's mom would just think he headed off to school early for help with his lessons.

"Alright, alright haha. I'll be over at around 10, ok?"
